WE reject all human Creeds and Confessions of Faith, and accept the Word of God alone (II Tim. III, 16) and demand faith in Christ (Matt. XVI, 16: Acts VIII, 37-39) and obedience to him as terms of fellowship. WE reject all human names which cause division (I Cor. I, 12), and wear a NAME. Scriptural name (Eph. III, 15: Acts x1, 26). MEMBERSHIP. WE demand just what the Apostles did for membership in the church (Mark XVI, 1; Acts II, 38, VIII, 36), BAPTISM. WE accept the one baptism (Eph. IV, 51, which requires that a man be buried with Christ 'Rom, v1, 4; Col. 11, 12). WORSHIP. WE meet together on the first day of the week to break b ead (Acts xx, 7). and t worship as did the Churches under the guidance of the Apostles (Heb. x, 25: Acts II, 12). ORGANIZATION. WE organize Churches with Elders (Acts XX, 17; 1 Tim. 111, 1), and Deacons (Acts XXI. 3; 1 Tim. III, 8), and Evangelists (Acts XXI, 8; 1 Tim. 1v. 5) are sent out to convert men to Christ. FRUITS. WE endeavor to live faithful (Titus II, 12), and bring forth the fraits (Gal. v, 22) of a Christian life. PLEA FOR UNION. WE work for the restoration of primitive Christianity and union on a Bible basis (Eph IV), that divisions may be avoided and Christ's prayer (John XVII) may be answered. SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH. you willing to search the Scriptures (Acts XVII, 11) and see whether these things be so. and be persuaded to be a Christian ONLY? Then Come with us and we will do thee good." This Church makes pledges for all missions once a year, to be paid quarterly in March June, September and December. In 1902 we contributed $551 for missions. Every member should be represented in the missionary offering. Current expenses are paid weekly or monthly on envelope plan. Great pains have been taken in revising the church roll by the committee. Some mistakes doubtl ss have been made. Any one who will aid in cor- recting the list will do us a great favor. COMMITTEE Do you read the Church paper, the Courier? Do you try to keep informed as to all that goes on in the Churches abroad? —END PAGE 1— ANDREW A. SPEEGLE, Osteopathic Physician. Offices over Jordans' Hardware Store. Corner Main and North Sycamore Streets. PALESTINE, TEXAS. Osteopathy successfully treats all curable and many former- ly regarded incurable diseases. In its way, it has reached many unknown, or unclassed con- ditions. Drugs have produced mary chronic conditions, so say the best symptomatologists; and Osteopathy has come to cure more than seventy five per cent of all ailments. Acute conditions yield more readily than chronic, as all the normal forces of the body are enabled to help combat the disease. What is disease? It is an anatomical lesion (obstruction) somewhere, which prevents assimilation and a consequent, cbstructed metabalism. Thousands of cases cured without use of the knife, as Appendicitis, Rectal Ulcers, Hemmorrhoids and Female Diseases. Say, says some, I can't see how manipulation can cure dis- ease? Did you ever stop to thing that only nature ever did, does or will cure disease. Therefore Osteopathy removes the lesion (obstruction) and thereby enables nature to more easily perform its labors. Anyway as a last resort give Osteopathy a chance to prove its efficiency. CONSULTATION AND EXAMINATION FREE _________ END PAGE 2 CHURCH DIRECTORY.
