Sullivan, son-in-law, filed an appeal t Chief Justice, Cyrus H. Randolph. R.B. Wardrope, E. D. Hanks, appraisers. List of property and slaves included. Section A, pages 9-15; 27-32; 44-53 PATSEY WESTMORELAND, Anderson County, Texas Order filed 21 day Sept. 1846 to Sheriff to take possession and custody of all property and effects belonging to the Estate of Patsey Westmoreland, late of said county. Judge Grisby, Clerk Pr. Court. Nine (9) Negro Slaves taken by Sheriff Peyton Parker on 16 Sept 1846 (names given.) Samuel G. Wells appointed Administrator of Estate of Patsey (Mrs. Sterling L.) alias Martha E. Westmoreland. Appraisers: Andrew Manson, Wm. Hopking, Peyton Parker. Trial jury decided that S. L. Westmoreland had abandoned his domicile and Martha Westmoreland had a separate right to slaves given to her by her father, John Collins and that she died in Anderson County, Texas. They had a daughter Elizabeth B. Westmoreland. Jury members: Lewis B. Jones, A. W. Duncan, J. L. Morrow, Sol Hopkins, N. W. Fitzgerald, John Hassell, Mark Roberts, S. M. Warden, Wm. Henry to be appointed administrator as he is a Legal Agent with Power of Attorney to act as recorded in Houston County, Texas. Filed 10 September 1846 in Palestine. Recorded 21 Sept 1846. John N. Henry as Special and Charles Shelton and Andrew Manson as Sureties, appointed by George W. Tuggle, Pro. Judge, Anderson County, Texas, signed by John Grigsby, Ck. A. Ct., Saul G. Gardner, Justice of Pease, Beat No. 3, A.C. Section A, pages 41; 75-79 - Section C, page 37 REASON CRIST. Anderson County, Texas, died Nov. 1846. No will or administrator. Request by Eve Crist, wife, to be appointed administrator, field Jan. 21 1847. Approved and ordered to record by Judge G. W. Tuggle. 25th Jan 1847, Eve Crist appointed Special; Stephen Crist and Michan Main as Securities. 25th May 1847, Appraisement of property as $2,048.00 by Stephen Crist and Ransom Rucker. Section A, pages 41-52. CRAWFORD GRIGSBY. William Grigsby, Executor. Owned land in Dallas County, 1000 acres appraised at $1.00 per acre; 320 acres in Dallas County Crawford Grigsby Military Land Claim for service rendered in Army of Texas" valued at $1.00 per acre. Children: James and Robert H. Grigsby, minor heirs of deceased, and Elizabeth Mead, wife of M. O. Mead; Ruth Ann Edens, wife of Balis Edens, John Grigsby - heirs and legatees of Crawford Grigsby. Section C, pages 18-21. ELIZABETH E. JORDAN. "Last Will and Testament of Elizabeth E. Jordan of Fort Houston, Anderson County, Texas, 18 February 1850. To my daughter, Nancy Frost and her heirs, Samuel and Joseph, "My whole Messauge Lands tenements and heriditaments with the appurtenances situated, lying and being at, about and around Fort Houston in the County of Anderson." Mentions, "Eldest daughter, Polly Gatewood, $5.00; daughter, Betsy Greenwood, $5.00; daughter, Gilithia Dodds, $5.00; granddaughter, Betsy Jane Glenn, child of daughter, Malinda, $5.00. All to be paid unto them Respectively as soon as one year after my decease shall be expired." Also mentions, "All the rest of my personal estate after debts, etc., I do give and bequeath unto my friend, F. J. V. Kirclehair for his own and sole use and benefit, and I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend, F. J. V. Kirclehair, as my Executor...." Witnesses: Joshua W. MICHAM MAIN (also spelled Mickan) Wife, Elizabeth Main. Children: Louisa Main Wilson; William Main; Elisha Main; Harman Main; Leonard Main; Riley Main; Thomas F. Main. "Paid all debts, sold property. "Farm land on which I now reside, belong to my wife Mahuley Douthit and all stock.
