        From Wills Point Chronicle, Thursday, Dec. 19, 1895:

In a difficulty Friday morning at Palestine between two brothers, Noah and
Sidney Jolly, young farmers living eight miles west of there, Winchesters were
used by both parties and Sidney fell a corpse. An old grudge was the primary
cause. Noah surrendered.

        From Wills Point Chronicle, Thursday, March 12, 1896:

Palestine will issue bonds and build a $12,000 school house in the second ward.
