Palestine, Tex., Aug. 11. - Although the water works has shut all of its private consumers in this city, Palestine is not wholly without protection. The suppply [sic] of water is limited, but it is sufficient in quantity to furnish the railroad shops and give fire protection. The water company seems willing to everything in its power to keep matters strong and has a force of engineers at work the view of ___ing artesian wells.
