J. BENNETT 27 April 1936 S. J. BENNETT, 68, farmer, of Route 2, Elkhart, died suddenly at 3:30 a.m. Monday at his home. Funeral arrangements were being held up pending arrival of out of town relatives. Mr. Bennett was born in Navarro County and had lived in Elkhart section for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Elbert, Edgar, and Roger Lee Bennett of Palestine, daughters, Miss Irene Bennett of Elkhart, Mrs. Allie May Bridges and Mrs. Roy Parker of Elkhart, Mrs, Laura Ben Kennedy of Cayuga, Mrs. Cora Gilmore of Palestine, and Viola Buske of Albernathy, TX. Three brothers. Bob Bennett of Elkhart, W. L. Bennett of Sandia and B. H. Bennett of Crockett. Six sisters, Mrs. C. R. Cate of Henerietta, Mrs, Fannie Reagan of Kernes, Mrs. Bessie Parker of Waco, Mrs. Beulah James of Grapeland, Mrs. Mary Jenkins and Mrs. Mattie Little of Elkhart.... ***
