He had retired Thursday night after attending a picture show and apparently was in good health, according to his sister, Miss May Sweany, with whom he lived. Funeral services will be held at the home... Mr. Sweany was born in Pittsburgh, PA. but moved to Palestine with his parents as a small child. His father was the late Judge Lawrence Sweany, for a number of years, Justice of Peace here, and city judge of Palestine, and prominent in the affairs of the town in the early days. His Mother was Mary McLafferty Sweany of American Revolution Ancestry, and a descendant of a distinguished Maryland Family...... He is survived by a sister, Miss May Sweany, three nieces.... A nephew... ***
