R. TIPPEN February 19, 1936 John Robert TIPPEN, 71, well known farmer of the Elmwood community, died at Palestine sanitarium Tuesday at 3 p.m. from Peritonitis following an operation for removal of his appendix ten days ago. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Olive Branch Cemetery. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. HC Hardman and Miss Nan Tippen of Elemtown.... MR. Tippen was a native of Elemtown and had lived virtually all his life in that community...
