DOWLING, July 18, 1830, May 30, 1879 This stone is next to her husband, Ruben P. Dowling and is a newer stone. I have been unable to find out the date is was placed here, but it had green growth on it that was cleaned. It was obviously placed by another family member possibly to replace a broken stone or no stone. The stone is not chippped or broken and is very readable. It is located near the street that runs beside the cemetery. Francenia was buried 2nd of June 1879. Additional Comments: Francenia Florence Smith Dowling came to Texas in the late 1850's with her husband and five children. The first son born in Texas was John Edward, b: 1858 in Anderson County. I know that two more children were born in Texas. William T. Smith & wife, Susan Richardson Smith; Francenia's parents and five of their eight children came with them. Three children had died. They are shown on the 1860 census living beside each other.
