Mounment reads as follows: Revolutionary Soldier John Dollarhide 1751 / 1853 Private - Continental Line of the Army of the Revolution 1780 - 1782 Fought in the Battle of the Cowpens , Kings Mountain and others. Wife : Nancy Chittington Dollarhide 1747 - 1849 Married: in Caswell County,North Carolina Back side of monument reads: Graves of : John Dollarhide,his wife,grandson Cornelius ( 1801-1861 ) his wife Leodocia Brown Dollarhide ( 1810-1849 ) and 3 children . John had 2 sons James D. and Asahel. Asahel's son Cornelius ,wife,children, and grandparents moved from Louisiana to Angelina County and settled here in 1846.
