Officers Investigate- One Suspect Is Lodged in Jail Monday By C. E. McKinney. S. L. Love, Archer City farmer, suffered a fractured skull when he was hit by some kind of a car Sunday night. The accident happened near the Magnolia Filling Station No. 2 in Wellington at 7:30 pm November 20. No definite clues have been found as to who the driver of the car was that struck Mr. Love. Mr Love and his son, A. C. Love and brother-in-law J.W. Owens had come to Wellington from Archer City. They camped in the old camp grounds east of the square. Mr. Love had been up town and is thought that he was on his way back to the campground when the accident happened. The funeral arrangements have not been made pending the arrival of other relatives from Archer City. Mr. Love was born in Texas in 1864. He is survived by a wife who resides in Archer City, and by two sons and two daughters who are: Sam Love, A. C. Love, Miss Irma Love, and Mrs. Mullins. The local sheriff's office is making every attempt to locate the person driving the car which caused the accident, as the accident is one of the most serious to ever occur in Wellington. One suspect has been lodged in the jail already, according to sheriff McKinney. He is believed to be the quilty party, but this has not been proved yet.
