OLD SETTLER GONE - Uncle Tom Longley died at his home, southeast of Archer City, 
Monday and was buried here Tuesday afternoon. His death had been expected for 
sometime, as he had been in feeble health for a long time and complications had 
arisen which usually prove fatal to one of his years.

Mr. Longley came to this county in 1878 and has lead a very active life since 
coming. He has been identified with the stock raising interests of the county. 
He had amassed property valued at $40,000.

He was buried under the direction of the Masonic lodge at this place. He leaves 
a large family and many friends to mourn his death. The Dispatch offers its 
sympathy to the bereaved family. ---Archer City Dispatch
