The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ Submitted by: crobles@mithoff-jacks.com February 28, 2002 *********************************************************************** PROPERTY DEED Emile Marouse to Antonio Lopez, 1899 The State of Texas County of Atascosa Know all men by these presents that Emile Marouse of the County of Atascosa and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one Dollar to me in hand paid by Antonio Lopez, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant sell and convey unto the said Antonio Lopez of the County of Atascosa and State of Texas all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in Atascosa County, Texas, and being the part and parcel known as subdivision no. 4 of Survey No. 1125 in the name of Francisco Ariola on the waters of the Gallinas Creek described by meters and bounds as follows: Beginning at a stake in original north line and northeast corner of subdivision No. 3 whence a post oak 14 in dia. Brs. N.37, E. 5 1/4. Thence south 19 1/4 W. with east line of said No. 3 at 533 vs. its S.W. corner on original south line thence S. 70 3/4 E. with said line at 267 vs. to stake for S.E. corner, a black jack 12 in dia vs. N. 83 W. 8. Thence N. 19 1/4 E. at 553 vs. to intersect original north line for N.E. corner. Thence N. 70 3/4 W. 267 vs. to the place of beginning. Bearing marked A containing twenty six acres of land. It is further stipulated and understood that the said Antonio Lopez is to keep and support the said Emile Marouse the balance of his natural life, then this deed will become abslute (sic) and perfect and further it is agreed on that if the said Antonio Lopez wants to sell said subdivision he may by the said Emile Marouse signing and acknowledging the deed to the purchase thereof. To have and to hold the above described premises together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in any-wise belonging unto the said Antonio Lopez, his heirs and assigns forever, and I do hereby bind myself and my heirs executor and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Antonio Lopez, his heirs and assigns against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
