State of Texas
Know all men to whom these presents shall come

That Frederick Grimes having served faithfully and ?  in the Republic of Texas
for the term of three months from the first day of July 1836 until the first
day of October 1836 and having received an honorable discharge.

is entitled to Three Hundred and Twenty acres Bounty Land for which this is
his certificate.

And the said Frederick Grimes by his assignee Thomas H. Jones  is entitled to
hold said land to to sell, alienate, convey and denote the same and to
exercise all rights of ownership over it.

In testimony thereof, I have hereunto set my hand at Austin the Eleventh day
of July 1849
