GRIMES for himself and as Adm. HENRY FARLEY, dec To Power of Att. R. McNutt September 26th, 1845 Republic of Texas. County of WASHINGTON Know all men by these present that I, Frederick Grimes, of the County of Austin and Republic aforesaid for myself and as administrator of the Estate of Henry Farley, late of Austin County deceased have this day made constituted and appointed and by these present do make constitute and appoint ROBERT MCNUTT of the County of Austin, my true. and lawful attorney for the following purposes to wit: To apply to the Commissioner of the General Land Office of this Republic and for me and in my name and for my use and benefit to ask for, demand and receive a patent, for 3/4 of a leaque of land granted to me as a Head Right of the Republic aforesaid by the Board of Land Commissioners of Austin County. Also in my name as Administrator on the Estate of HENRY FARLEY deed, late of Austin County, Republic aforesaid to ask for, demand, and receive from the Commissioner General of the Land Office of this Republic a Patent to this the aforesaid HENRY FARLEY'S land to which he was entitled by his Head Right Certificate filled by the Board of Land Commissioners of Austin County for 1 League and 1 Labor of land. Giving and granting to my aforesaid Attorney Robert McNutt all my power, strength and right for myself alone and for myself as administrator of Henry Farley as aforesaid in and about the premisise as fully and amply as I possess them myself. Hereby satisfying every act of this my said attorney legally done in and by these present. Given under my hand and private seal this 26th day September 1845. Republic of Texas. Before me, Wililam H. Erving, County of Washington, Chief Justice and officer of notary public for said county personally appeared F. Grimes the maker and signer of the within instrument, in writing and F. Grimes, the maker and signer of the instrument aforesaid as Administrator upon the Estate of Henry Farley, dec and acknowledged for the purposes in it contained and requested me to certify to this fact.
