Robinson personally appeared and presented a claim for one labor of land as assignee of Nancy Farley and took and subscribed the following oat (to wit). I do solemnly swear that Nancy Farley to the best of my knowledge and belief is entitle to the quantity of land for which I now apply and as to the assignee of the said Nancy Farley, I conceive myself entitled to the aforesaid league and labor of land. Signed I.E. Robinson Isaac M. Pennington deposed that the said Nancy Farley was the head of a family four years ago, that shortly afterward her husband died and that she was since married again. J. Benton Johnson deposed that the said Nancy Farley was residing in Texas in 1834. Other evidence same as the above deponent. The Board having investigated said claim and finding that the said Nancy Farley had transferred the head right of her husband to the said Robinson without an order from the proper tribunal and considering that great injustice and illegality would be the conswquent to the heirs of said Farley rejected the claim of I.E. Robinson. On motion of the applicant this cause is opened for reconsideration. Signed J. Hampton Kuykendall, Clerk of Board The Board adjourned til next Thursday week. (San Felipe de Austin, Austin County, 1838) An unfinished title in Austin's second colony (1828-1833, drawn up by Miguel Archiniega. The blank ara for section of the land was never filled in and the grant never completed. Henry F.
