Austin, that he may inform about a petition whether the land has not been claimed for and whether it is situated outside the ten coastal miles. (signed) Arciniega Illustrious commissioner: Henry F. Farley, a citizen of the U.S.A. and one of the settlers introduced by the colonizer Austin, with the greatest respect declares that: my civil status is that of married, that with my family I have entered this country with the intentions of acquiring land for my support and establishment, for which purpose and previous approval of the same colonizer, I have chosen a lot of land which is situated (blank) For this reason I address myself to you so that you may admit me and invest me with the possession of this place with the stipulation that I offer to inhabit it and cultivate it in accordance with the requirements of the law. Farley, Senior (signed) An unfinished title in Austin's second colony (1828-1833, drawn up by Miguel Archiniega. The blank ara for section of the land was never filled in and the grant never completed. Henry F.
