I do solemnly swear that Henry Farley dec'd arrived in this Country previous to the Declaration of Independence, that he died previous to that time, that I conceive his estate justly entitled to the quantity of land for which I now apply under the Constitution and Laws of this Republic & that the said Henry Farley dec'd has never received a title for his quantity of land. (signed) F. Grimes N. Whitehead & Isaac M. Pennington being sworn deposed that Henry Farley dec'd arrived in this Country since 6 or 7 years, that he was a man of family and that he died previous to the Decl of Ind & that he was a Citizen of this Country. Whereupon the Board after having investigated said claim issued to the claimant a certificate for one league & one labor of land. Additional Comments: Frederick Grimes was married to Elmira Susan Farley one of the heirs of Henry Farley. Her sister, Mary Jane Farley, who married Thomas Harper Booth, also was an heir.
