Bandera Co., TX - Cemeteries - Vanderpool Cemetery *********************************************** This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Billie Nast & Polly Nack Copyright. All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Vanderpool Cemetery The Vanderpool Cemetery is located on Hwy 187 in Bandera County. It is next to the EMS building on the west side of the road. Looking at a Texas map, Vanderpool is north of Utopia, north of Sabinal, all of which are north of Hwy 90. When looking for a grave site, please look both in front of and behind the row. As with many older cemeteries, the rows are not entirely straight. Abrevations: R/G = Row and Grave numbers; dbl stn w/ = double stone with; tpl stn w/ = triple stone with; *small stone, no dates = the cemetery association replaces the old stone or stones that are no longer there with a small rectangle granite stone that only has the first name itital and the last name. No dates are placed. A book can be purchased from the Sabinal Canyon Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution for $10.00 It contains the Cemeteries of Sabinal Canyon Area: Jones, Tarpley, Vanderpool, Waresville Cemeteries and Family Burial Plots: Haby, Miller, and Davenport. For information contact: by telephone: 830-966-5126 or 830-966-3747 and by letter: Box 770, Utopia, Texas 78884 or Box 1117, Utopia, Texas 78884 The book is a Scholarship Project of Sabinal Canyon Chapter - Daughters of the American Revolution.
