From McDade take Cnty Rd 142, for one mile, turn right on Cnty Rd 162 and go 2.5 miles to a locked metal gate on the left. The only markers are two short portions of an iron bedstead, four rocks and a pink 3/15 concrete block. See Alton Vought at Paige for permission to view the cemetery. The property is also remembered as the Jack Ross Place and Jack and Laura Voight Ross, second wife, are buried in the McDade Cemetery. Fick, Adolph 03/06/1905 ?/?/1906 unmarked. 15 mos. Dau of Henry & Anna Jacob Fick Heinze, Augusta 1843 3/?/1892 unmarked. Wife of Henry Fick Sr. Wife of Mr. Heinze. Mother of Clara, Henry Jr, Adelheit, Amanda Fick & Max Heinze by 2nd marriage. Mittag, Ernest 12/27/1905 1/?/1906 unmarked. age 5 wks old. Son of Max & Clara Fick Mittag Mittag, Louie x ca 1910 unmarked. 4 yrs. Son of Max & Clara Fick Mittag Mittag, Rosie x x unmarked. age 1 yr. Dau of Max & Clara Fick Mittag. Older sister of Louise Mittag Wright On 4/21/1892, Herman Klemm filed application to be appointed guardian of minors: Clara Fick 17 yrs, Henry Heinrich Fick 16 yrs, Adelheit Fick 14 yrs, Amanda Fick 12 yrs, and Max Fick Heinz age 10 yrs, all residing in Bastrop County and without any lawful guardian for themselves or for their estate. Parents of the minors were both deceased. Augusta (Fick) Heinze, the mother, survived the father of said minors. VOL K page 556/557 BASTROP COUNTY PROBATE RECORDS Max Heinze is not buried here and died when he took a dose of Kerosene and sugar for his cold. Adelheit Fick (Ross) is buried in Dallas.
