From Elgin, go southwest on FM 1704, past County Rd. 75 on the right and before County Rd. 52 on the left. The cemetery will be on the left side of the road behind the McShan Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Hog Eye was the name of the old railway station. The old road was located on the other side of the cemetery before FM 1704 was built, thus the most prominent are now located at the back of the cemetery. Surveyed 9/28/98. This cemetery is also known as "The Moon Cemetery" and "The Old Baptist Cemetery". It was difficult to read most of the headstones. Many are broken. The Hog Eye emetery was in another location and has been destroyed. Aims, James E 3/28/1867 ?/27/1870 Son of J Aims Aims, Mary E 5/28/1865 10/22/1868 Dau of J.I. & S.J.
