M. at the First Methodist church for Mrs. Lona Brice who died suddenly Friday night at her home of a heart attack. Rev. L. R. Vanderpool pastor of her church officiated and Mrs.Joe Reese and Fred Tegge rendered a vocal duet. Mrs. Lona Brice was born November 25,1887 near Belton and lived near Holland, until 1937 when she moved to Bartlett to make her home. She joined the Methodist church when a young girl and was an active member of the church until her death. She was married to John F. Dugger in 1903, and he preceded her in death in 1916. Survivors are seven children: J. B. Dugger, Staff Sgt. Ewing Brice, Earl Brice, Jr. and Mrs. Fred Braun of Waco; Mrs T. G. Cross of Dallas, Mrs. George Mastrovich, Jr. of Bartlett and W. Wilson Dugger of Holland. Four sisters, Mrs. Bob Alvy of Coleman, Mrs Louis Lanham of San Saba, Mrs. Joe Dugger of Belton, Mrs. Robert Mosley of Abilene. One sister, Mrs. Will Moss, preceded her in death. She is also survived by seven grand-children and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were: Oscar Lange, Earl White, Bert Conner, Doyle McGlothlin, Carroll Hill and Herbert Keller. Flower girls were: Marie Conner of Temple, Mrs. Louis Pairett and Mrs. Ben Goss of Waco, Mrs.R. C. Barnes of Pflugerville, Mrs. Ren Sladovnik of Abilene, Mrs. James Anderson of Austin, Mrs. Milford Watson, Mrs. Carroll Hill, Mrs. Dan Owens, Mrs. Herbert Keller, Mrs. Creth Lewis, Mrs. J. E. Moore, Jr., Mrs. Pat Patton and Miss Alma McGlothlin. Interment was made in the Holland Cemetery. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: Her full name was, Lona Pearl Mayo Dugger Brice.
