Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Daniel Camacho December 8, 2001 ************************************************************************ Killeen Daily Herald, April, 1965 Carter Services Scheduled Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the First Baptist Church for Larry Wayne Carter, 19, of Killeen. The Rev. Bob Lambert of Dallas and the Rev. Bob Harris, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Killeen City Cemetery. Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Carter, 715 Root St. was one of three persons killed in a one car accident north of Dallas Sunday (April 11) night. All were students at North Texas State University. The Three youths were enroute to Denton when their car struck the side of a bridge on Interstate 35 at Farmers Branch, then plunged down an embankment. Investigators said there were no witnesses to the crash. Carter was a sophomore at North Texas, majoring in business administration. Survivors include his parents an two brothers, Ceil Carter Jr. of Killeen and E-2 Donald Ross Carter, stationed in Germany. Pallbearers will be Ricky Ray, Tom LaFrance, Tom Whitney, Lynn Berry, Bill Shine, Roger Matkin, Gene Fogle and David Schroeder.
