The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. *********************************************************************** Submitted by: Rayedene May 23, 2001 ======================================================================= Temple Daily Telegram Oct 9 1948 Mrs. Fritz dies at Belton, Rites Scheduled Today Mrs. Cynthia Ann Fritz,81, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas, died in Belton Saturday at 9:55 pm, after an extended illness. She was born March 28, 1867 at Rome, GA, and moved with her grandparents, Mr and Mrs Samuel Cooksey, to Bell County in 1877. She was formerly Miss Cynthia Ann Thomas and was married to George William Fritz in Temple and was a member of the Baptist Church, uniting July 26, 1885. Mrs. Fritz is survived by one son, John E. Fritz of Waco; three daughters, Mrs. O.O. Moore of Agua Dulce TX, Mrs. O. L. Vance of Temple, Mrs. W. J. Hardin of Belton; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oct 29, 1914 and four children. Funeral services will be held at the Hewett Funeral Home Monday at 2pm. Rev. W. A. Irvin and Rev. James Basden will officiate and internment will be in Hillcrest cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
