This obituary from The Southern Intelligence, March 11, 1857

Capt. Archbald Willingham departed this life October 27, 1857, at his residence
in Bell County, in his 71st year. He emigrated from Georgia to Texas in January
1839, and settled near Washington, Washington County. He then removed to this 
county.
