Additional Comments:
Born Ellen Cammack in Union County, AR on October 10, 1847, she married J. 
McDonald "Mac" Thomson on December 19, 1867 in Washington County, TX and moved 
to Belton in 1877; mother of eight children.  

She died July 5, 1913 in 
McClennan County, TX and was buried in the North Belton Cemetery.  

Mac Thomson served as a private in Company K, 1st Texas Cavalry in the 
Civil War, was in the grocery business and was Mayor of Belton from 1877-1879.
