The Western Texan states that on the 23rd. ult., at San 
Antonio, in the morning, about two o'clock, William Davis 
was shot by some person unknown, while passing along the 
street, a few rods east of the Alamo Trading House. The ball 
entered his breast, came out at the right side, and lodged 
in his arm. The wound is not considered dangerous.
