Confederate Monument 
  
  The Daughters of the Confederacy of Shreveport, Louisiana have awarded the 
contract for the construction of the Confederate monument in Courthouse Square 
to Frank Teich of San Antionio, Texas.  The monument will cost $10,000.00.  It 
will be a shaft twenty-six feet high, with the base supported by figures of 
Confederate soldiers and sailors and a female figure holding a scroll.
