San Antonio Express and News February 18, 1961
Joyce Marie Doege, 10 of Rt 1 La Vernia died Thursday, Feb 16 at a local 
hospital. Survived by: Parents Mr. and Mrs. Alfred L Doege, sisters, Misses 
Elaine and Mildred Doege, all of San Antonio; maternal grandmother, Mrs. 
Martha Mergele of St Hedwig, Texas and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Richard Doege of La Vernia.  Rosary Sunday 8 p.m. at Zizik-Kearns-Downing 
Chapel and 9:45 a.m. at Church of the Annunciation (St Hedwigs) with Requiens 
Mass to be offered by Rev Benedict Pruski, interment in St Hedwig Catholic 
Cemetery.
