Born on January 26, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas, he passed away on May 8, 2007 
in Playa del Rey, CA. 
He is survived by his wife, Doris Irene, to whom he was married for nearly 62 
years. He is also survived by three children; Richard Allen of Lansdale, PA, 
Robert Charles of Venice, CA and Janet Susan of El Segundo, CA, as well as 
four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. 
Allen served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He later worked for Otis 
Elevator Co. for more than forty years as a valued troubleshooter. 
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the 
First United Methodist Church in Santa Monica, CA. The family will greet 
friends following the service in the Fireside Room at the church. Donations to 
the American Cancer Society may be made in his name.
