He died October 11, 1993 (SEE PHOTO) The Back side of the Tombstone is that of my Aunt Jeanne Bunton EWING. She passed away in 2003. (SEE PHOTO). My Uncle earned the Purple Heart for severe injuries to his head during the battle on Iwo Jima. My Aunt Jeanne Bunton Ewing is a Descendant of the Texas Revolution against Mexico and is written up in the DIRECTORY OF TEXAS HISTORICAL FACTS ON THIS SUBJECT.
