Barber married sisters, Susan A. C. Lucas and Josephine Lucas. Susan and Josephine were the daughters of Rev. Bazil E. Lucas & Louisa Marion Barber, grand daughters of George Barber Jr. & Elizabeth Reynolds, and great grand daughters of George Barber & Margaret Watkins of Oglethorpe Co. GA. Susan and Robert were divorced, she married a Grayson second. Josephine died young, one daughter survived. Robert T. Barber and John C. Barber are the only sons of Silas Barber to make the Final Rolls of the Creek Nation (Dawes Commission). Martha Susan (Sudie) Barber married Marquis Lafayette Coker. Her half- brother, Hardy Jay Barber, married Ella Coker, sister of Marquis Coker. Silas' first two wives, Sarah Ann Posey and Tinsley Elizabeth Posey Stinson, were sisters and mixed-blood Creek Indians.
