This burial site on the old Davis Place near Iredell was
owned, in 1987, by Jerry W.Petterman of Plano


As far back as anyone remembers there were old unmarked graves,
some said to be of transients on the cattle trails. There are
two graves marked, head and foot, with small natural
stones.  Ground depressions indicate approximately 16 to 20
graves additional graves.  Only two of these have markers as follows: 
  

GIDEON, C.A. 
        ??--12 MAR 1884 
        Age 76 years; Wife of W.D. WISE 
JONES, Wiley 
        05 NOV 1884--28 MAY 1889 
        Son of F.R. & M.E. JONES 
        (This grave is bordered by hand-cut stones, 3' x 6' x 10')
