B-29 Bomber pilot in the Air Force during World War II. 
Charter member of Thomas B. Hunter Masonic Lodge No. 1356 in Grand Prairie.
Member of Hellah Shrine Temple of Grand Prairie, Karem Shrine Temple of Waco 
and Texas Bar Association. 

Son of the late Wayne B. Standefer and Nellie Anderson Standefer.

Survivors include two sons;
Wayne Standefer of Cedar Hill
Weldon Standefer Jr. of Arlington
Two sisters:
Margaret Smith of Houston 
Gertrude Johnson of Lubbock
Two grandsons;
Steve Standefer and Chris Standefer, both of Grand Prairie.
