Then north along creek about 1/2 mile. Located on small bluff on east side of creek. This cemetery is over grown with honeysuckle and underbrush. The leaves and leaf mold are at least six inches deep. Some unmarked graves were probably missed. 1982. 1-3 unmarked graves 4. Martha A. Alford 14 Sept., 1835 - 2 Feb 1903. Marshall. (No Coates found in Bowie Co. census 1850 - 1880. T. W. Marshall is found on 1880 census, precinct 2, fam # 178, wife Emer, 24, born in Louisiana) 14. J. A. wife of T. P. Collins 4 Jun. 1857 - 8 May 1878 (John Jackson Nettles married Samantha Collins, this Collins might be some of Samantha's kin) 15. Unmarked grave. 16. Minnie Alvis Holmes 15 Feb, 1881 - 17 Dec. 1881 (could be the daughter of Bryant Holmes Jr. and Amanda Dialthia McAdams) 17. Mary C., wife of Charles Tapp & later W. F. Smith; 13 May, 1832 - 18 Oct. 1881 (born in S. C., daughter of Elias & Annie White.) 18. Our father, Charles Y. Tapp, Died 3 May, 1858, aged 54 yrs, 10 mo, 22 days. A native of Person County, N. C. (Believed to have fought for Texas Independence) 19. Infant daughter of Charles & Mary C. Smith, 9 Jun. 1863 - 12 Aug. 1865 20. James M. son of Charles & Mary C. Tapp, 16 Dec. 1853 - 28 Sep. 1855 21. Our Brother Charles Y., son of Charles & Mary C. Tapp, 2, April 1856 - 2 Oct. 1881. 22. Ruth A., daughter of W. F. & Mary C. Smith, 9 Jun., 1863 - 12, Aug. 1865 23. William F., son of W. F. & Mary C. Smith, 18 Mar, 1862 - 18 Aug., 1864. (There were two children of this Tapp Family that lived to be adults, both are buried at REED HILL CEM. William Lewis Tapp, 6 Dec. 1851 - 10 Mar. 1913.; Vriginia A. (Jennie) Tapp, 23 Feb, 1858 - 19 May 1932. Miss Jennie was the last surviving Tapp & left an estate valued at several hundred thousand dollars.) 24. Head of grave marked by one rock. 25. - 31. These graves are marked at head & foot by rocks. There is a sand stone rock marked with the initials M. W. A great-granddaughter was told as a child that this was the grave of William M. White. Wm. Was born in S. C. about 1834 & was the son of Elias White & Annie Gibbs. Wm. Was murdered by his brother-in-law, ____ Landrum, in July 1865. Wm. 1st married Sarah Louisia Reams, 2nd. Mary A. Reams, both sisters to Lee & Seth Reams who were part of Cullin Bakers gang. In 1868, Baker was seriously wounded & hid out for two months in Elliott's pasture believed to be on the west side of creek. Others believed buried in this area: Elias WHITE, 30 Dec. 1797, S. C., arrived in Bowie Co. about 1845. Died 2, August 1873. Annie (Gibbs) wife of Elias, 1801, S. C. - 1864 Patric CREED, born about 1812, Ireland, married Susan White Harlin ca. 1856. Died between 1866-1870. Susan White HARLIN CREED born ca. 1831, S,C., daughter of Elias White. 1st married Sam Harlin (Harland), 2nd Patric Creed, died after 1870 census and before 1880 census. Sam Halin (HARLAND) born ca. 1810, S. C., married Susan White ca. 1845 in S.C. Came to Bowie Co. between 1846-48. Died between 1852 - 1856. William Lafayette NETTLES, 14 April 1854 - 1 March, 1892. Born in Alabama. Margaret CREED, born ca. 1857, TX, daughter of Patric Creed & Susan White. Died? 32. Concrete stone with top half broke. A search with a probe was made, the top half is not close by. There is a foot marker with the initials "D. N." Probably Della Nettles, 1872 - 1879. 33. & 34. Two graves marked at head and foot with rocks. 35. Ophelia Nettles 1862 - 1886.
