Please read testimonials: Bonham, Texas, January 1884. All should know the benefits to be derived from a use of these waters. For Dropsey, Dyspepsia, and Disease of the Kidneys. I can attest to their curative properties. B. E. Brown, Bonham, Texas ***************** I have been a frequent visitor at Dalby Springs, and have great confidence in the waters. They have repeatedly restored my little girl to health when all other remedies had failed. R. R. Gaines, Associate Justice Supreme Court of Texas. ***************** I take pleasure in testifying to the good qualities of Dalby Springs, having spent several summers there with my family, with very beneficial results. I believe that nature has provided its waters for the cure of diseases prevalent to this latitude. Henry W. Lightfoot, State Senator, Paris, Texas ***************** It is with pleasure that I testify that after using the waters of Dalby Springs for three weeks in 1880, I was very much impressed with their value as a health restoring elixir. For General Debility, Dyspepsia, Kidney Troubles, Torpid Liver, etc. the waters were invaluable. The place has many natural attractions, calculated to produce a pleasing effect upon visitors. John G. Fackler, Pastor Presbyterian Church, McKinney, Texas April 1881. ***************** This is to certify that I have fully investigated the curative properties of Dalby water, having a kidney complaint that some of the best physicians in the state could not cure. I was so low when I started to Dalby that it was feared that I would not reach there alive. I began to use the water and was entirely relieved in two weeks, I know that Dalby Springs saved my life. Nettie L. Bennett. ***************** Early in the summer of 1879, my little son, eighteen months old, was taken sick with Dysentery, then Flux, and finally Cholera Infantum. After the physicians had given him up to die, my wife in despair, then decided to start with the little fellow on the night train to Dalby. We hardly hoped the child would live to reach the Springs, and several times thought that he was dying. Upon our arrival at Dalby, he was put on the water at once. His stomach retained the water, though he had rejected everything that had been put in it for some time. Almost instantly, the invalid commenced improving, and in three weeks was restored to vigorous health. He is a stout, healthy boy today. After commencing the water he took no medicine whatever. Dalby Springs saved my child's life, and I honestly believe it is the most valuable water in the world. O. F. Parrish. Paris, Texas, June 1882. ***************** With the development and prosperity of Texas comes the fact that many who, after toiling industry and confinement to business, find it necessary to seek a place of retreat and rest; and from observation and experience I believe the healing qualities of Dalby Springs deserves a name among those of the widest fame and notoriety. I regard the water highly valuable in cases of stomach trouble and weak digestion. The are solvent in their properties, and act finely on the kidneys, thereby freeing the system of effete matter, and are calculated to benefit alike both males and females. Visitors will find the proprietor and his very estimable lady highly entertaining and agreeable. S. K. Clement, President Paris Exchange Bank. ***************** This is to certify that I have fully tested the curative properties of the Dalby Springs water. Being in bad health, suffering from dyspepsia combined with an affection of the heart, I had used various medicines without benefit, and was restored to complete health after there a few weeks. I take pleasure in recommending them to other invalids. Jos. Bettes, Paris, Texas. ***************** Both my experience and observation permit me to testify most strongly in behalf of the efficacy of the Dalby Springs water. By its diaphoretic and diuretic properties it eliminates from the system poisons that cause disabuse, and by its tonic properties it builds up and gives tone and vigor to the entire system. P. W. Johns, M. D. Clarksville, Texas. ***************** I have been acquainted with the great medicinal virtues of the waters of Dalby Springs, Bowie County, Texas for upwards of twenty five years, and am fully satisfied that they have been appreciated by our people as they should be. They possess superior tonic properties from being one of the leading ingredients, and as a laxative, diaphoretic, diuretic and soporific. They have no equal. If your constitution is broken down from disease or overworked, go to Dalby. If you or your child have contagious (skin) disease, go to Dalby. If you have any kidney, bladder, in fact any urinary disease whatever, go to Dalby. I have known the worst form of chronic inflammation of the bladder cured or greatly benefited by the use of these waters after all other remedies had failed. If your nervous system is irritable from disease or overtaxing of body or brain so you cannot sleep well at night, go to Dalby. If your stomach is deranged from indigestion or any cause, be certain to go to Dalby. In fact, from my knowledge of the diseases of this country after having practiced the profession for a number of years, I know of but few diseases, if any, that will not be greatly benefited by a stay of from ten to twenty days at Dalby Springs. Were the best chemists of the United States to analyze the waters of these springs and then compound all of said ingredients into one mass for a patient, it would not have one-half the effect these waters will when taken fresh and sparkling from the Spring. Nature's God is the best chemist and prescription we have. W. W. Stell, M. D. Paris, Texas, March 1883. ***************** After having fairly tested them, I take pleasure in saying that I consider the waters of Dalby Springs an admirable specific for Dyspepsia, Terpid Liver, Constipated Bowels, Disordered Kidneys, and all diseases pertaining to the alimentary canal of the human system. K. L. Dohoney. ***************** During the late war, I contracted dyspepsia or indigestion; my condition was such that even the simplest diet would cramp me and give me great pain. I tried everything I could think of without much benefit. I was induced by Mrs. Dr. S. E. Clement to try the water at Dalby Springs. My faith was weak that water would cure when everything else had failed, but was induced to try it, and found substantial benefit from its use for ten days than all other remedies I have ever tried. From my experience, I have no hesitancy in giving it as my opinion it will cure any case of Dyspepsia or Indigestion. L. C. Gibbons, Mayor of Paris. ***************** I had gravel ten years standing and after remaining at Dalby three months, I was entirely cured. The last month of may stay there, I gained thirty six pounds in weight. J. G. Settlemyer, Knoxville, Tenn. ***************** To whom t may concern: I went to Dalby Springs after trying other watering places, one of which was Hot Springs, Ark., and had my health completely restored at Dalby Springs after suffering for several months: was unable to stand when I went there and had to be hauled in a hack. I stayed there six weeks and was entirely cured. I have been sending my family there every summer for the last eight years, and regard it as the best watering place in the south or southwest for almost any disease. S. D. Lary, County Judge, Bowie County. ***************** Mr. Farrier, Dear Sir; The two weeks that I used the waters of Dalby Springs satisfied me of their great effacy in kidney and bladder complaints. I derived much benefit and believe if I had not been attacked with dengue fever after returning home that my improvement in health would have continued. I shall give the Springs another trial before long. J. W. Throckmorton. ***************** Hundred of others have received benefits from their stay here. Forty nine out of fifty that have visited here in the past have been cured or greatly benefited. ***************** ***************** ***************** Post Card: M. W. Bowers to Rhoda Bowers Dated October 31, 1895. Dalby Springs, Texas Mrs. Rhoda Bowers Dear wife, I will just say to you that I landed here at 2 o'clock the day after I left home and found Sager all right. After having some hearty laughs with him for he is full of fun and I like him splendid, and after making some droll remarks about my tung and the fix it was in he said he could knock the Pink Pills out of me in a short time and he gave me 3 capsules about the size of roaling pins to take 2 that night and the other the next morning. They have put a new move on me and they have kept me feeling sick ever since I commenced taking them. He then gave me 2 more not quite so large. They are making my stomach sick. Now this morning he fixed up a bottle of tonic for me to take. This he says will set me all right. The water is awful to me to drink tho I am trying to force some of it down but it nearly gags me. I cant eat much. I am at Mrs. Caters and they are very kind to me. I will be at home on Saturday or Sunday. W. M. Bowers
