Beckwith (1818-95), his wife, m. 1842. Granddaughter of Richard Marmaduke Beckwith (1774-1820) and Elizabeth Scott Buchanan, his wife, m. 1798. Gr-granddaughter of Jonathan Beckwith and Rebecca Barnes, his wife. Jonathan Beckwith was a patriot who lived in Westmoreland County, Va., during the Revolution. As a result of his declaration of patriotic sentiments he lost his English title. He was born in Richmond, Va.
