3. Edward Joseph Chatfield (1801-30) m. 1823 Nancy Scoville (1800-28). 
4. Joseph Chatfield (b. 1770) m. Polly Payne. 
5. Samuel Chatfield m. Joanna Gunn. 

Samuel Chatfield served in one of the short levies in the 7th Connecticut regiment, 
commanded by Col. Heman Swift. He was born, 1733, in Reading, Conn.
