William Brooking (1764-1829) served as private in the Virginia militia under Captain Foulkes and Colonel Brooking. He was born in Amelia County, Va.; died in Hancock County, Ga. Stephen Edward Broadnax (1754-1840) was captain in the Virginia militia, 1776-77; was also justice. He was born in Charles City County, Va.; died in Sparta, Ga.
