3. John Lewis, Jr., m. 1776 Elizabeth Kennon (1754-1825); John Mann (1785-1837) 
m. 1805 Elizabeth Brooking (1787-1856); Edward Brooking Broadnax (d. 1862) m. 1801 
Frances Vivian Brooking (d. 1860). 
4. John Lewis m. 1752 Catherine Fauntleroy (1733-97); William Brooking m. 1785

John Lewis (1725-88) was a patriot who furnished supplies for the militia of North 
Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. He was born in Albemarle County, Va.; died 
in Caswell County, N. C.  

John Lewis, Jr. (1753-1817), served as private in the Georgia troops. He was born 
in Virginia; died in Baldwin County, Ga. 

Vivian Brooking (1738-1808) was colonel in the Virginia militia. He was born in 
Middlesex County; died in Amelia County, Va. 

William Brooking (1764-1829) served as private in the Virginia militia under 
Captain Foulkes and Colonel Brooking. He was born in Amelia County, Va.; died in 
Hancock County, Ga. 

Stephen Edward Broadnax (1754-1840) was captain in the Virginia militia, 
1776-77; was also justice. He was born in Charles City County, Va.; died in Sparta, Ga.
