Ben Forman spent yesterday in Beech Township. Dixie White, brother of E. E. White of Nevada Co., is in our city. The contest for Circuit Judge in the 13th district is getting Pretty hot. The candidates are: Hons. B. F. Askew, G. M. Baker, W. C. Langford, and C. W. Smith. Dr. Lovett is still in Hot Springs. Dr. Blackwell has returned from Dalby. Mr. and Mrs. Hill of Park Beadler, have gone to visit friends in Chicago. Miss Kate McLeod, a popular Dallas belle, is in the city, the guest of Mrs. Ed Robbins. J. F. Smith, of the popular City Drug Store, left this morning for a short Business trip to St. Louis. Miss Grace, the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Felton, is visiting Mrs. Jud Kizer at Springdale. Any bills for repairs on College Hill bridge will be settled by our friends, Otis McCol?le or Jim Lightfoot. Miss Mamie Burke, a Paris merchant, is in the city. Albert Read and Cyrus Haigs will issue a society paper. Naoh Sanderson is on the sick list. The young people will dance at the residence of Mr. R. J. Haywood tomorrow night. We are glad to learn that John Mitchell, brother of Hon. C. E. Mitchell, is much improved. Little Oscar, son of Walter High, was seriously injured, by falling from a velocipede yesterday. The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson died yesterday morning. Allen, accompanied by his daughter, Miss Ora, came up from Queen City this morning. Gen. B. W. Cross, a distinguished citizen of Prescott, who is a leading Democrat of that place, gave us a call this morning. Mrs. Arbuckle, mother or our handsome young friend, Maclyn, has returned to her home in Dallas after a visit here with friends. Capt. W. H. Winfield, is back from Toronto, but will go to Shreveport tomorrow, accompanied by his sister in law, Mrs. Dr. Winfield, that far on the way to her home in Mississippi. Henry Sinn, car inspector on the Broad gauge roads, caught his left shoulder between 2 cars, and dislocated it, and broke his arm. We hope he has a speedy recovery.
