Maj. Tyson’s new brick store building, to be on corner of Broad and Vine Street,is ready to have foundation laid. Mary Anderson’s gross receipts for the season were $311,000. Wave Whitaker has returned from school in Virginia. John Buron has been appointed street commissioner on the West side. D. O’Connor and family were seriously injured last night, when a bridge fell into Day’s Creek with them on it. Misses Nannie and Zora Mullins, sisters of out popular business men, T. S. and Will Mullins, returned from school in Illinois last night, and left for there home in Magnolia this P. M. Paul Jones and Will Hudgins, also W. H. Arnold, wore swallow tailcoats at the ball last night. Judge Byrne went to Prescott last night to unite in marriage, Leslie P. Ross, Esq. And Miss Katie Johnson. June 12, 1886 --- Saturday evening Miss Ada Read returned from School this A.M. Ex-Mayor Ghio and family will leave for a visit to Italy best Monday. This morning his employees, Frank Riseti, Paul Rubietta, Earnest Zunkinam and others, presented him with a gold headed cane. Miss Georgia Runnels is insisting in Atlanta. Miss Jennie weed will probably go to Waukesha. John and Jamie Lightfoot miss their mother since she went to Georgia on a visit. Miss Linnie Buchanan of Sulphur is a visiting friend in Tennessee. Mrs. Pullen has been real sick for a few days. J. W. Mayher has moves his family to elegant rooms over his business house. Murray Taylor left for a visit to old Alabama home this mourning. Willie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hank McCartney has returned from school in Alton, Illinois. Mrs. T. E. Webber is preparing for trip to her old Kentucky home. Elder J.W.
