S. L. Baker
S. L. Baker, 88, died at his home, 1723 West Fourth street, around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maggie Baker; four sons, 
John A. Baker of Texarkana, N. G. Baker of Midland, Texas,
L.L. Baker of Memphis, Tenn.; and Clayton Baker of DeKalb,
Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Linda Arnold of Nash, Texas, Mrs.
Susie Mae Talley of Texarkana, Mrs. Floyd Garner of Texarkana,
and Mrs. Cleo Bobbet of Orange, Texas; five stepdaughters: Mrs. 
Cora Wedgeworth of Avery, Texas; Mrs. Norma Russ of Texarkana,
Mrs. Ophelia Curtis of  DeKalb; Mrs. Mabel Freeze of Texarkana, 
and Mrs. Lossie Tidwell of Simms, Texas; one step-son, C. P. Gibbs 
of Hooks, One brother, P. C. Baker of Teague, Texas, one sister, 
Mrs. Mandy Russ of  Oklahoma, 68 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
