NEW BOSTON, Texas-Otto Wyatt Banks Sr., 98, of New Boston died Monday, April 
14, 2014, in a local hospital.

Mr. Banks was born Dec. 26, 1915, in Bryans Mill, Texas. He was retired from 
Red River Army Depot and a member of Tapp United Methodist Church, New Boston. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Hope Banks; one daughter, Debbie 
Banks; and one granddaughter, Heather Banks Brennan.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Otto Jr. and Lucy Banks of 
Keller, Texas, and Kenneth and Suzanne Banks of Flower Mound, Texas; two 
daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Banks and Dan Davis of Livingston, Texas, 
and Barbara and Doug Kyles of Hooks, Texas; six grandchildren; 14 great-
grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Tapp United Methodist Church with Ken Calhoun 
officiating. Burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf 
Funeral Home. Relatives will be at the family home, New Boston.
