Mrs. Banks was born Jan. 14, 1917, in Russellville, Ark. She was a case worker with Texas Department of Human Services and a member of New Boston Dogwood Garden Club and Tapp United Methodist Church where she was a member of Dorcas UMW Circle and Fellowship Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Elizabeth Banks; and one granddaughter. Survivors include her husband, Otto Banks Sr. of New Boston; two sons and daughters-in-law, Otto Jr. and Lucy Banks of Keller, Texas and Ken and Suzanne Banks of Flower Mound, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Banks and Dan Davis of Livingston, Texas, and Barbara and Doug Kyles of Hooks, Texas; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Tapp United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Calhoun officiating. Burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Tapp UMC or Hospice of Texarkana.
