NEW BOSTON, Texas-Charles Edward Boyd Sr., 65, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, 
Aug. 9, 2010, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mr. Boyd was born June 1, 1945, in San Antonio. He was a truck driver for Tri-
State Iron and Metal and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Survivors 
include his wife, Carol Sue Boyd of Texarkana; two sons, Charles Boyd Jr. of 
New Boston and Frankie Howard of Lufkin, Texas; five daughters, Patricia Alms 
and Janetta White of Texarkana, Ronda Canaday of Hooks, Texas, Pamela Sargent 
of Old Boston, Texas, and Mildred Whisenhunt of Elgin, Texas; six brothers; one 
sister; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Comforter Funeral Home with Norm Melton, Mike 
Mauldin and Randy White officiating. Burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery. 
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
