Obit: Bowie Co Texas - EVELYN BRISCOE   February 16,  2002


             Evelyn "Missy" Briscoe 64,of Texarkana,Texas died Saturday February 16,
             2002 in a local hospital.  Mrs. Briscoe was born December 24,1937 in
             Wilton,Ark.  She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion Baptist
             Church and the missionary society.  She was preceaded in death by her
             husband,L.V. Briscoe,who died on July 13,2000.  Survivors include four
             sons, Sammie Noble Jr., L.V. Briscoe Jr., Eddie Briscoe, and Gregory      
             Briscoe of Texarkana; eight daughters, Elaine Smith, Sherry Noble, Della
             Noble, Ophelia Aubrey, LeAnn Briscoe, Kizzy Briscoe, and Ranarda Briscoe
             of Texarkana; and Cynthia Mayfield of Chandler,Texas; one brother, Lewis
             Thomas Pearson of Garland City,Ark; four sisters, Jeraldine Pearson, Alice
             Paxton, Lesa Jones, and Leslie Dixon of Texarkana; 24 grandchildren; and
             15 great-grandchildren.  Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion
              First Missionary Baptist with the Rev. Billy Rembert officiating.  Burial will
             be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.  The family will be at 823 W.G. Sorsby
             Road.
