Charles D. Cowley 72,of Maud, Texas died Tuesday April 22,2003 in a Texarkana hospital. 
Mr. Cowley was born June 17,1930 in Maud. He was an auto mechanic, member of the Maud 
Church of God and an Army National Guard veteran. 

Survivors include his wife, Billie Ruth Cowley of Maud; three sons, Billy Wayne Cowley, 
Kenneth Cowley, and Charles Cowley of Maud; one daughter, Janice Kirby of Maud; one 
sister, Olene Hammonds of Texarkana; one brother, James Cowley of Simms, Texas; 14 
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside 
services will be 2 p.m. today in Center Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Hillis 
officiating, under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.
