Obit: Bowie Co Texas - JACK DAINES


             Jack Daines 84,of Texarkana,.Texas died Saturday January 26,2002 in a 
             Fayetteville,Ark hospital.  Mr. Daines was born July 24,1917 in Texarkana.
             He was a retired battalion chief with the Texarkana,Texas Fire Department,
             instructor at Texas A&M University Fire School, member of Rose Hill Baptist
             Church  and an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
             Survivors include his wife, Virginia Daines of Texarkana; one daughter,
             Jeanne Cunningham of Eureka Springs,Ark; one nephew, Eddie Daines
             of Texarkana; three nieces, Charlene Schumchyk of Baltimore,Md; Patsy
             Baxter of Fort Worth,Texas; and Suzanne Gill of Beebe,Ark; and a number
             of other relatives.  Services will be 10 a.m. today at Chapelwood Funeral
             Home Chapel with the Rev. Timothy Jones officiating.  Burial will be in 
             Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.  The family will be at their home in Texarkana.
