Emmett Edwards, 47, of 1412 Highland, died at 4:15 a.m. Friday in a
local hospital after a short illness.
Born April 22, 1911, in Hartford, Ark., Mr. Edwards had lived in 
Texarkana for 30 years. He was an auto body repairman.
Mr. Edwards was a member of the Calvery Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Estelle Edwards; three sons, Lloyd Edwards
of the U. S. Navy, stationed at Okinawa, Kenneth and Keith Edwards, both
of Texarkana; two sisters, Mrs. Dan Dennington of Texarkana and Mrs.
Pearl Davidson of California; one brother, Fred Edwards of Cameron, Okla.
The body will remain at the Texarkana Funeral Home pending completion
of funeral arrangements.

Funeral services for Emmett edwards, 47, of 1412 Highland,
who died at 4:15 a.m. Friday in a local hospital after a short
illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Calvery Baptist
Church. The Rev. W. P. Mears will officiate.  Burial will be in the
Redwater Cemetery.
The body will remain at the Texarkana Funeral Home until service time.
