Mr. Fischer was born January 31,1926 in Redwater, Texas, and had been a lifetime resident of Redwater. He was retired from Talon Construction Co., former owner of Fischer Construction Co.,a member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. Survivors include his loving wife, Anita Funderburk Fischer of Redwater, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Jennifer Fischer of Redwater, Texas; three daughters and one son-in-law, Deborah and Grady Ellis of Redwater, Texas; Rena Spencer of Redwater, Texas; and Sandra Gerber of Dallas, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Jim Weeks of Florida; eight grandchildren, Shane Spencer, Matthew and Spencer Smith, Lynn and Lance Fischer and Shelby Taylor all of Redwater; and Wendy Starnes and Cindy Starnes; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Monday in Redwater Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Dudley officiating, under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Charles and Jennifer Fischer, Redwater.
