John Lee Flanery Jr., 70,of Maud, Texas died Wednesday June 26,2002 in a local hospital. Mr. Flanery was born February 12,1932 in the Dalby Springs community. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and a Korean War Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Flanery of Maud; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stacy and Scarlet Flanery of Maud; and Terry and Kim Flanery of Redwater, Texas; one brother, William Fletcher of New Boston, Texas; four grandchildren, Shanda Stewart, Holly Flanery, Andrea Flanery and Tyler Flanery; one great-granddaughter; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Pipes officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery, under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
